CAKE FLAVOR: 3 Chocolate Cake, 2 Plain Cheesecake
FILLING(S): Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting
OUTER FROSTING: White Chocolate Cream Cheese
DECOR: Candy Melt Trees
This is a very rich an decadent cake. No counting calories on this one. My boyfriend LOVES chocolate peanut butter everything, and I have previously made a Red Velvet Cheesecake cake, so he help come up with the flavors of this one. The chocolate cake is moist (yummmm) and spongy while the cheesecake is smooth and rich. They pair perfectly together with their different textures and tastes.
As for the decorations, I was inspired by many Instagram posts. The trees were simply made my melting green Wilton Candy Melts with a few (really only about 2) white candy melts to make it a slightly softer green. Also, I wanted the outer frosting to have some texture so I just ran a small pallet knife up the side and top of the cake while I slowly, but evenly, spun the cake stand.
I was very proud of how even each layer was, not to mention how delicious it tasted. So delicious it didn't even last 3 days in our house.
